I'm utterly disappointed at myself. Today I received news from my psychology teacher that I have a 3.9 as my final grade. I'm sorry if that does come out somewhat ridiculous, because 3.9 is a good grade, however I've never gotten that my entire life. It just ruins my 4.0, T.T. However, I will have to live with it.
I think the worst part however, was that it was a 3.8 before and my participation in class gave me brownie points with my teacher so he bumped it up to a 3.9. There were about 8 tests or so. I got 2 B's... I'm sad.
*Sigh*
I'm future-oriented now however, because I can't change the past, so now I need to find out how that will translate into my high school grade. It's kind of confusing because I'm getting college credit for the class, but I'm also getting high school credit for it. Plus, high schools determine GPAs by saying that 90%+ is a 4.0, so now I have no idea. I'm just crossing my fingers right now...
yeah, the whole grading system is confusing; transferring grades to highschool. don't get why the college classes are counted towards your highschool GPA when we're not even taking classes at our highschool Dx
ReplyDeleteI do not know if you are shooting for a 4.0 gpa for high school, but i would say that to get a 3.9 in any college class is quite an accomplishment. I think it will end of transferring as a 4.0 just because college grading reflects different levels of grades whereas in high school, i don't think that's true. At least you acknowledge some people might find this post somewhat obnoxious for those people who sturggle to get a passing grade :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was more of a personal reason that I posted this little tidbit. It's just something I've striven for. It would be completely obnoxious though, I agree with you.
ReplyDeleteAwe, don't get down on yourself. Sometimes in life things don't turn out the way you want them too, and that is just life's way of keeping you grounded, just keep your head up and keep pushing to what you want.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy when i get a 3.9 because i procrastinate so much. it seems like everything you write about is about school, An.
